Trim Castle AKA York Castle from Braveheart

Trim Castle (Caisleán Bhaile Atha Troim) is a Norman castle on the south bank of the River Boyne in Trim, County Meath, Ireland. With an area of 30,000 m², it is the largest Norman castle in Ireland. Over a period of 30 years, it was built by Hugh de Lacy and his son Walter as the caput of the Lordship of Meath in 1173.

In the Movie Braveheart the fortified English town of ‘York’ is Trim Castle, a massive ruin brought to life with extensive wooden buttresses and a gate that alone weighed seven tons.
The ‘London square’ was also created at Trim, on the other side of the castle wall. (Trim Castle can also be seen in Sam Fuller’s 1980 war movie, The Big Red One, with Lee Marvin). The town of Trim is about 26 miles northwest of Dublin on the River Boyne, Co Meath.

Pimp my ride Pt 3

Do your scruffy car wheels not reflect you high status in modern society?
Never fear, where there is a will there is a way! Just check out this ambitious young go getter parked up in Liffey Valley shopping centre, he's got the right go-getter attitude. When you got so much "bling" (AKA silver paint) why not put some on the tyres also to maximise your potential to impress!

Nothing says I am loaded like a painted tyre!!

I am told that he plans to make spinneys from biscuit tin lids for his next recession busting project.*
